The Progress and Goal (PG) System is a versatile tool designed to enhance student retention, build confidence, and set the foundation for long-term success in martial arts training.

  1. The Initial PG Talk (Week 2):
This conversation helps parents understand what to look for in their new martial arts student. It shifts their focus away from comparing their child to others and teaches them to be “good finders,” recognizing and celebrating their child’s unique progress. This positive reinforcement accelerates confidence and self-esteem. At the end of this talk, the student receives a tear-off SHARE PASS to share their excitement with friends and family.
  2. Building Connections (Week 4):
By this time, we’ve gotten to know the student and their family better. We discover where parents work, discuss their goals, and address potential hurdles the student may face. This is when we align as a team to ensure the student never gives up. It reassures parents of our commitment to their child’s success and reinforces the school’s support system. During this week, the student receives a Pro Shop coupon to celebrate their progress and keep them motivated.
  3. The Black Belt Vision (Week 6):
After the student’s first stripe test, the final PG chat introduces the Black Belt journey and long-term goal setting. We outline the path ahead, reinforcing the school’s commitment to their growth. The student also receives a VIP invite coupon, allowing them to bring a friend in for a special membership experience. This chat serves as a progress check and opens the door for an upgrade evaluation, preparing the student for the next phase of training.

The PG System is a proven method that enhances retention, builds relationships, and ensures upgrades are smooth and natural. The custom-printed, perforated cards make it easy to distribute SHARE PASSES, Pro Shop coupons, and VIP invites at the right moments, supporting a seamless experience for both students and parents.

Mastering this system is essential for creating a thriving, engaged martial arts community.
