Honestly my neighborhood gets door hangers on every door from one business or another on a weekly basis. It's one item that people will definitely look at - they have to take it off the door when they go inside. Most people will read it while they walk to the kitchen counter to put it down.
It's a smart marketing tool that can also double as a way to get your current students involved in helping you out!
Pick a Saturday afternoon and have your SWAT or Leadership team come in - parents drive them to a neighborhood, they walk and put doorhangers on every door for you and meet back at your school after they have put them all out (maybe an hour or so) and you reward them with a pizza party.
Gotta give Grandmaster Greg Silva credit for that idea! I remember doing it many times as a kid when I was taking lessons!
You get tons of doorhangers placed and the kids will actually enjoy helping. Doing things like this can really be a great retention tool. The more kids get to bond outside of class, the more likely they are to feel connected to your school.
