Hey everyone!  I was about to post a follow up to Friday's blog on how to make a FREE video for your social media, but I want to take a step back and help you start your week off right instead.  Here are some simple things you can do to make sure you have the most productive week possible.

ON MAKING CHANGES:

Yesterday, my Miami Dolphins destroyed the Tennessee Titans 38-10.  This win came after a very disappointing start to their season.  Everyone in sports media agreed the Dolphins were going to be Super Bowl contenders, but things were looking grim.  It took 3 losses in a row to make a change. They fired their coach and hired 39-year-old Dan Campbell to mix things up.  And guess what?  It seems to have worked.  In a pregame press conference, Campbell said, "We're about to wake the sleeping giant."

The team came out looking completely re-energized.  They said they were finally having fun again.  Everyone was putting in 110%.  The team needed a leader that looked like them, a football player, a motivated coach that knows it's about having fun, pushing hard, and making every second count.

GETTING THE WEEK STARTED OFF RIGHT:

1.  WAKE UP AND OPEN THE BLINDS!

As business owners and entrepreneurs I'm sure you all wake up around 7AM.  But if you stay up late watching Netflix all night, there is a simple way to be more productive in the morning.  Open the blinds as soon as you wake up!  Go outside and stand in the sun for 20 minutes before you check your phone or turn on your computer.  It's so easy and it will energize you for the day.

2.  MAKE YOUR BED.

Daily life can be completely stressful and insane, but you know what's easy? Making your bed.  It takes less than a minute.  Pull back your comforter, fluff the pillows, tuck the sheets in.  It doesn't need to be perfect, just make it look nice.  You just created some order in your hectic life before even leaving the house!

3.  CELEBRATE ONE STUDENT.

It's probably one of your students' birthdays this week.  Go spend a few dollars on balloons and when that student comes in have everyone sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to them, an impromptu party!  You just created an ambassador for your school, they will remember it forever.  These simple, cheap things can move mountains.

4.  BE THE COACH THAT WINS OVER THE TEAM.

Who do you want to be?  The coach that safely plays the game?  Or the one that comes in and rallies the troops to be the best they can be?

Think about what made you fall in love with Martial Arts in the first place.  Look into your students' eyes and you will see your younger self.  Turn your stereo on really loud today!  Run some fun drills. Create some competition.  Be the instructor your kids want you to be!

HAVE FUN!
